The happy hour goes util 8:00 which is very nice, but there are only a select few appetizers included. I love the personal touch, customer service here is steller! Their fruit plate was huge too! Took 45 minutes to find a waiter, another 45 minutes before we got our first beverage. First of all, there was a wedding going on there when I arrived. The bartender could not make a bloody mary correctly. First off, the service was very spotty, with multiple people servicing our table, but no apparent communication. Includes a glass of champagne. The day of my get together, my friends got there and found that the place was closed.

The mothers day buffet was in the dark bar and it was in two different areas we didn't even know this and the server certainly didn't say anything about it. I live in Nor Cal but visit friends and family in So Cal often. Coffee, tea and fresh juices included. Everything was very fresh and the quality of the food was very good! Great ambience for big group. A few years ago the buffet was in the main dinning room with ice sculptures it was bright and friendly, very festive.
We didn't even ask her to take a single photo of us, and we didn't take long to order. The trail leads to a gully covered by lush foliage - it's quite a sight in the late afternoon. This was a good day haha they have a suuuper legit buffet. Our waitress who never introduced herself, had our table and one other table of two men. The bottomless mimosas definitely seemed to have a bottom, as we had to ask our server multiple times for refills, same with our water glasses, but she was often nowhere to be found. My friend and I sat outside and it was kind of cold so the staff very promptly brought over two heat lamps- one for each of us. My special ladyfriend had the sliders, which were undercooked, yet extremely dry and brittle.

The interior is a little outdated however the outdoor dining is splendid! I had the rumaki appetizer, the mushroom raviolis and the asparagus. Our server only had one other table of two guys by the time we were ready to order, who she stopped by to chat with multiple times, but with us it felt like we were being deliberately ignored. River Rock was different from what I expected. All in all this place deserves 3 stars maybe 3.
